Saskatoon Transportation Clubs spring networking event was a resounding success.  Held at the upstairs Martini Lounge at Earls on 2nd Avenue North the sold-out event allowed us to have the opportunity to mingle with old friends and new acquaintances over wings, pizza, sushi and other goodies.

After we all had an opportunity to mingle Dallas introduced Dan Abernart to attendees.  Dan told us about growing up on the farm, his entrepreneurial adventures and about Aberhat Ag Solutions.  We learned how they blended food waste from Calgary grocery stores and yard waste from Saskatoon with elemental sulphur a byproduct of the oil and gas industry to make fertilizer.  The fertilizer can last four to six years as the particles break down in the field. It is quite an interesting story and you can find a host of information about the company and the process on the Aberhart Ag Solutions website and on YouTube.
